Purpose
Section titled “Purpose”The homelab platform hosts the production-inspired infrastructure used to exercise platform engineering, DevSecOps automation and security operations without direct public inbound access.
Critical Dependencies

- OPNsense firewall and DNS.
- Trusted admin plane for identity, secrets and PKI.
- GitLab for source control and CI/CD.
- VPS and Zero Trust tunnel for controlled remote access.
Open Platform Decision
Section titled “Open Platform Decision”ADR-0013 compares a Proxmox substrate with a NixOS plus Incus substrate. Until that ADR is accepted, Proxmox-specific material is treated as current-state evidence and must not be presented as immutable target architecture.
